The NFL revealed on Monday that it plans to release its schedule for the 2008 season today. | |||

The schedule will be revealed on the NFL Network at 2 p.m. during a two hour-long edition of "NFL Total Access 2008 Schedule Release Show." According to the NFL, the schedule will be announced on a week-by-week basis and the most compelling games each week will be highlighted. the show will culminate with a countdown of the 10 most-anticipated matchups of 2008. The show will be re-aired at 6 p.m. and 9:30 p.m., and the schedules will be available on NFL.com. The Colts already know their preseason schedule and their first opponent of the regular season: a "Sunday Night Football" matchup with the Chicago Bears in the regular-season opener of Lucas Oil Stadium at 8:15 p.m. on Sept. 7. The preseason schedule looks like this: • Aug. 3 — Hall of Fame game vs. Washington in Canton, Ohio, 8 p.m., NFL Network • Aug. 7-11 — at Detroit • Aug. 14-19 — at Atlanta • Aug. 24 — vs. Buffalo, 8 p.m., NFL Network • Aug. 28-29 — vs. Cincinnati The Colts also know who they will play — the AFC South, the AFC North, the NFC North, and AFC rivals New England and San Diego — and where those games will be played. Home games include Tennessee, Jacksonville, Houston, Chicago, Detroit, New England, Cincinnati and Baltimore. Away games include Tennessee, Jacksonville, Houston, Green Bay, Minnesota, Pittsburgh, Cleveland and San Diego. |
