Using mathematics previously unavailable to mankind, WhatIfSports.com has looked into the future and predicted the results of the 2009 NFL season. Indianapolis Colts fans will be particularly interested in seeing how the AFC South will shake out and whether they can expect postseason success.

WhatIfSports has been on a roll lately. The sports simulation website successfully tabbed North Carolina to win the NCAA basketball championship, picked Pittsburgh to win the Super Bowl by four points, and predicted the Philadelphia Phillies' World Series title last fall.

The supercomputers used by WhatIfSports also predicted that Boston would beat the L.A. Lakers in six games for the 2008 NBA title, and successfully fingered the Lakers as this year's champ, as well. Last year, WIS went 14-3 against the spread in its NFL locks of the week predictions.

Since 2004, WhatIfSports has missed on only one World Series winner, one Super Bowl winner, and one NCAA basketball champion.

They recently released their predictions for each NFL division, simulating each game 10,000 times, with game-by-game predictions and breakdown of each team's strengths and weaknesses.
