Peyton Manning did something no quarterback has ever done, Dwight Freeney continued his sacks streak, Dallas Clark had a career game and Reggie Wayne passed a Colts legend on the team's receptions list. Check in with these postgame notes from the team's media relations department.

— Indianapolis extended its franchise record with a 17th consecutive regular-season victory and became the 4th team to earn a streak of 17+ consecutive regular-season victories (21, New England, 2006-08; 18, New England, 2003-04; 17, Chicago, 1933-34.)

— Sunday’s victory provided the Colts with their third 8-0 start in the past five seasons (13-0, 2005; 9-0, 2006). The Colts own three of the six 8-0 starts in the NFL since 2004 (2007, New England Patriots; 2008, Tennessee Titans; 2009, New Orleans Saints).

— Jim Caldwell became the first Colts head coach to win his first eight games. Caldwell became the only rookie head coach in the Super Bowl era to start 8-0, and he became the only coach ever to start 8-0 when succeeding a head coach who won 100+ games (Caldwell, Colts, 2009, succeeded Tony Dungy, 139 wins).

— Jim Caldwell tied Potsy Clark (Portsmouth, 1931) for the best start by a rookie head coach in NFL history (8-0).

— Manning became the first QB in NFL history to throw for 40,000+ yards in a decade (2000-09).

— Manning tied Fran Tarkenton for the 4th-most starting wins in NFL history with 125.

— Manning directed his 39th career 4th-quarter/overtime game-winning drive. Manning directed his 38th drive last week vs. San Francisco.

— TE Dallas Clark (3,785) surpassed Jim Mutscheller (3,684) for 2nd-most receiving yards by a TE in franchise history (5,126, John Mackey).

— Clark set a career-high with 14 receptions, tied for the third-most receptions in a game by a TE in NFL history 15, Kellen Winslow, 1984; 15, Jason Witten, 2007; 14, Tony Gonzalez, 2005; 14, Ozzie Newsome, 1984; 14, Winslow, 1983). Clark’s previous best of 12 receptions came vs. Detroit 12/14/08.

— Clark’s 14 receptions tied WR-Marvin Harrison’s previous club record (14, Harrison, at Cle., 12/26/99; 14, Harrison, vs. Dallas, 11/17/02).

— Clark recorded his 7th career 100+-yard game, 2nd-most among Colts TEs (8, Mackey).

— Colts DE Dwight Freeney recorded a sack in his ninth consecutive game, surpassing Robert Mathis’ (8 games) club-record streak in 2005. Freeney tied Bruce Smith (1986-87) and Kevin Greene (1997-98) for the third-longest streak in NFL history. Simon Fletcher (1992-93) and DeMarcus Ware (2007-08) share the NFL mark with 10 consecutive games with a sack.

— Freeney tied Mathis’ NFL record of eight consecutive games to start a season.

— WR Reggie Wayne (635) surpassed Raymond Berry (631) for 2nd-most receptions in Colts history.
