Significant Injury History:
2002: Knee (1 game)
Career Notes:
Thornton made the move to strong side linebacker in the '04 season after leading the team in tackles in '03 in his first year as a starter as the weak side backer. He has quickly developed into one of the teams defensive leaders and in his 4th season is one of the eldest members of the Colts young defense. Thornton was a walk on at North Carolina that developed into a starting LB and was named the teams MVP in his senior season even though highly publicized teammates DE Julius Peppers and DT Ryan Sims were the 2nd and 6th overall picks of the 2002 NFL Draft.
