Missed the first game of the 2005 season serving a league mandated suspension for discharging a firearm in a public place during the off-season but was a regular on the field after that. Started 9 contests in an injury plagued 2004 season after starting 15 in his rookie season. He was a three-year starter at Ohio State, including the 2003 National Championship team. Doss was a consensus All-America and All-Big Ten choice, and was named Big Ten Defensive Player-of-the-Year.
