Career Notes:
Goddard led the nation in sacks during his senior year as a DE at Marshall with 16 and a total of 28.5 tackles for loss. With his size 6'0" and weight at or under 240 he is undersized even by Dwight Freeney standards for DE in the NFL. Many experts wondered if his timed speed and instincts would allow him to translate into a LB in the NFL, but as has been heard from the lips of Colt GM Bill Polian "you can never have enough pass rushers" so the Colts are willing to give this guy a chance to develop on their practice squad.
